Title 210 Executive Office of Health and Human Services
Chapter 30 Medicaid for Children, Families, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) Adults
Subchapter 00 Affordable Coverage Groups
Part 1 Medicaid Affordable Care Coverage Groups Overview and Eligibility Pathways (210-RICR-30-00-1)
Type of Filing Direct Final Amendment
Regulation Status Inactive
Effective 12/29/2022

Regulation Authority:

Chapters 40-6 and 40-8 of the Rhode Island General Laws
as amended; Title XIX of the Social Security Act

Purpose and Reason:

As part of the FY23 Budget signed by Governor McKee, EOHHS is required to provide Medicaid coverage to all children that are residents of Rhode Island who would otherwise be eligible for Medicaid but for their immigration status (effective July 1, 2022) and to extend Medicaid postpartum coverage from 2 months to 12 months (effective 10/1/22).  This regulation has been amended to reflect these changes.
