Purpose and Reason:
1. 2025 Recreational Striped Bass Management: Clarify how recreational striped bass total length shall be measured (section 3.8.1(C))
2. 2025 Commercial General Category and Floating Fish Trap Striped Bass Management
? Proposal 1 (Industry) (Noticed): Amend the gill net prohibition for striped bass to allow for commercial harvest (sections 3.8.2(A)(3)(b)(2)(AA), 8.8.2(A)(3)(d)(2)(AA)), and 3.8.2(C)
? Proposal 2 (Industry): Change the General Category (GC) fishery for striped bass to Rod & Reel. Harvest restricted to Rod & Reel only. Change all instances of “General Category” and “GC” to “Rod and Reel” or “RR” in Part 3 – Finfish; sections 3.8.2(A), 3.8.2(A)(3)(b)(1), 3.8.2(A)(3)(d)(1), 3.8.2(A)(3)(d)(3), 3.8.2(A)(4), & 3.8.2(A)(5)
