Purpose and Reason:
The amendments modify the ranking criteria for reviewing applicants for selection into the marine pilot training program; the requirements imposed upon pilots for the renewal of their state marine pilotage licenses; the requirements governing pilot boats operating in state waters; and the annual physical examination requirement for Rhode Island State Marine Pilots, as well as the fees charged.
