Purpose and Reason:

Effective March 1, 2006 the Medical Assistance Program, Title XIX, will be expanded to include the PersonalChoice Program. The PersonalChoice Program offers participant-directed home and community-based services to people with disabilities or who are sixty-five (65) years and above thereby reducing unnecessary institutionalization by providing specialized home and community-based services.
