Purpose and Reason:
Medical Assistance policy is revised to implement statutory increases in the basic allowances for a community spouse and other dependents of an institutionalized individual. These basic allowances are used in the post-eligibility treatment of income process to calculate the allocation of income from an institutionalized individual to community dependents.
Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:
To avoid the wrongful denail/discontinuance of benefits to applicants/beneficiaries.
