Purpose and Reason:

Effective March 1, 2007, to update the Medical Assistance poverty level income standards and maintenance needs allowance in accordance with the 2007 Federal Poverty Level Guidelines; and average costs of care used to calculate penalty periods for prohibited asset transfers, and waiver cost effectiveness.
