Purpose and Reason:
Effective June 2017: •Remove language of old process for appeals and replace with languagereferencing appeals through Executive Office of Health and Human Services •Update dates and frequency of some program administrative activities. •Reformatting and renumbering of the rules as required by RI General Laws,Section 42-35-2.11. •Remove language outlining specific income levels for co-payment shares,and replace with DEA internal document where this information isdynamically held. •Clarify individuals, who upon death of the consumer, are eligible to inheritany outstanding reimbursement payments. •Inserted language indicating Medicare ID numbers as requireddocumentation. •Collapsed Reporting Requirements and Pharmaceutical ManufacturerRebates sections to directly reference specific language in R.I. Gen. Laws.
