Regulation Authority:
R.I. Gen. Laws 42-55-5(5)
Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this activity is to repeal a potentially duplicative rule. The rule describes a federal affordable housing production program that is governed by regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The federal rules are comprehensive, leaving discretion only as to manner in which projects will be selected for funding, which may change from year to year. Rhode Island Housing intends to issue program bulletins to announce future funding opportunities as they arise along with the applicable selection criteria. There are no substantive differences between the proposed rule and the final rule.
