Part | 1112 | (Repeal) Rules and Regulations of the Corporation Applicable to the Home Repair Program and Accessory Apartment Program |

Regulation Authority:
R.I. General Laws § 42-55-5(5)
Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this repeal is to eliminate an obsolete rule. The above-captioned rule describes a program through which Rhode Island Housing previously provided financing for (i) the rehabilitation of existing housing for persons and families of low and moderate income and the elderly; (ii) the completion of accessibility improvements to existing housing for persons and families of low and moderate income; and (iii) the creation of additional units in existing dwellings for persons of low and moderate income. After a period of several years, the program ceased to operate. As a result, the rule no longer serves a practical purpose. Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation proposes to repeal ERLID #1112 in its entirety.
