Regulation Authority:
R.I.G.L. §39-1-1 and §39-1-3
Purpose and Reason:
The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) repeals the Rules Governing the Acceptance of Credit Card by Utility Companies because there is no longer one consistent policy in effect. Repeal of the rules will not change the status quo. Comments received neither object nor oppose the repeal of the rules. The repeal will neither require nor prohibit the charge of a convenience fee by the utility.
