Purpose and Reason:
The Public Utilities Commission proposes to repeal the regulations because the rationale for continuing the mandated payment plans and collections procedures to only one company no longer applies. The regulations only applied to Verizon New England Inc., d/b/a Verizon Rhode Island (formerly, New England Telephone)which submitted comments stating that the rules are no longer needed and supported repeal of the rules.
