Regulation Authority:
Repeal in accordance with Administrative Procedures Act (R.I.G.L. 45-3-1, et seq.)
Purpose and Reason:
Originally,R & R addressed ambiguities in RIGL regarding recounts and for incorporating into the existing recount procedure a process which included a manual refeeding of ballots cast in a primary election or election for public office subject to eligibility recount requirements, standards and procedures. (Note: For the latest rules and regulations with regard to recount requirements...procedures,refer to "Relating to Recounts" which includes "Guide to Election Recounts-Exhibit A" adopted by the Board of Elections on 8/20/04.)
