Purpose and Reason:

This proposed rule shall establish the Transit-Oriented Development Pilot Program through the Executive Office of Housing.  The Transit-Oriented Development Pilot Program shall create compact, walkable, pedestrian-oriented, mixed-use communities centered around transit nodes that support vibrant, sustainable, and equitable communities throughout various municipalities in the State of Rhode Island.
