Regulation Authority:
R.I. Gen. Laws Title 20, R.I. Gen. Laws Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, and 42-17.7, and in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-35-18(b)(5), the Administrative Procedures Act.
Purpose and Reason:
Proposal is to repeal the rule in its entirety as the map locations of the floating fish traps are now available online on the DEM Marine Fisheries Maps. Proposed repeal is in conjunction with recent amendments made to the locational descriptions of floating fish traps as provided in Part 6 – General Equipment Provisions where outdated descriptions were replaced with defined coordinates and compass headings.
