Chapter | 150 | Water Resources |
Subchapter | 05 | Water Quality |
Part | 5 | Rules and Regulations Governing the Enforcement of Chapter 46-13.2 Relating to the Drilling of Drinking Water Wells (ERLID 968) |

Regulation Authority:
R.I. Gen. Laws 46-13.2-4
Purpose and Reason:
The subject regulation is proposed to be repealed because jurisdiction over well drilling contractors was transferred from DEM to the Contractors’ Registration and Licensing Board in 2012 with the most recent revision of R.I. Gen. Laws § 46-13.2-4. Thus, consistent with the Governor’s mandate to repeal unnecessary regulations, the Department proposes the repeal of the subject regulations. No comments were received during the public commenting period.
