Regulation Authority:

R.I. Gen. Laws §§ 27-18.2-1 et seq., 27-29-1 et seq., and 42-62-12.

Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of this repeal is because regulatory authority over the subject matter covered by the regulation has been transferred from the Department of Business Regulation to the Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner. The Office of Health Insurance Commissioner adopted a substitute regulation on this subject (OHIC regulation 8) effective August 5, 2009.
