R.I. Gen. Laws §§ 42-14.5-1 et seq., 42-14-5, and 42-14-17.

Purpose and Reason:

OHIC proposes repealing this regulation, which attempts to implement a statute which is included in title 27 but which by its terms provides jurisdiction to Department of Labor and Training. The regulation attempts to regulate employers who are not licensees of OHIC and is, therefore, unenforceable. OHIC does not expect this repeal to be controversial. These proposed amendments will result in no impact upon small businesses. No objections were received. Date signed by agency head: July 30, 2018.
