Subchapter | XX | Old Regulations Which Were Not Assigned Chapter-Subchap-Part |
Part | 3095 | Insurance Regulation 105 - Emergency |
Type of Filing | Adoption |
Regulation Status | Inactive |
Effective | 07/01/2004 to 10/29/2004 |
Regulation Authority:
R.I. Gen. Laws Sections 42-14-17 and 42-35-3(5)(b)
Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this regulation is to establish interim mandatory prelicensing education requirements for Property and Casualty Insurance Producers. The Director has found that an imminent peril to the public welfare requires adoption of a rule upon less than thirty (30) days notice because R.I. Gen. Laws Section 27-3.3-1 has been repealed. This repeal was effective upon passage and the State of Rhode Island is presently without any mandatory prelicensing education requirements for its Property and Casualty producers.
