Purpose and Reason:

The Handbook on the Local Comprehensive Plan for the Rhode Island Comprehensive Planning and Land Use Regulation Act ("Handbook") is intended to be a guide to assist municipalities in developing a comprehensive plan. Therefore, the Handbook is being repealed as a regulation. Updated guidance is available from the Division of Planning and all regulatory requirements are codified separately in regulation in: RULES AND STANDARDS OF THE STATE PLANNING COUNCIL, ERLID Number: 8446,Effective date: 04/20/2017.
