Purpose and Reason:
Reformatting and recodification of the rules as required by R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-35-2.11. Removed “History” section and creates Authority section. Creates Purpose section. Removed “Mission Statement”, “Vision Statement”, and “Work Therapy” sections. Adds “Application Procedures” and “Inactive List” sections. Updates the amount for funeral expenses for residents who die without a will pursuant to recently amended R.I. Gen. Laws § 30-24-9. Updates the amount for funeral expenses for residents who die without a will pursuant to recently amended R.I. Gen. Laws § 30-24-9. Updates the television policy and removes superfluous language. Removed prior version’s “Monetary Benefits” section. Removed from prior version: “During these periods the resident may be required to attend scheduled AA meetings and shall be provided a schedule of counseling sessions (via an individualized treatment plan) by social services.” Adds new section prohibiting illegal drug use. Removes “Bulletin Boards” section. Revises section to reflect changes to living arrangements due to move to new facility and removes superfluous language.
