Regulation Authority:

R.I. Gen. Laws § 40-5.2-20 (k)
Rhode Island State Budget FY2025

Purpose and Reason:

Passage of the FY 25 RI State budget extended the CCAP for Child Care Providers and Staff Pilot. This was initially a one-year pilot and was extended for an additional year. The pilot program allows the Department of Human Service (DHS) to provide funding for child care for eligible child care educators and child care staff with family income up to three hundred percent (300%) of the Federal Poverty Level, who work in a licensed child care center, licensed family child care home, or a licensed group family child care home. In addition, due to ACF regulations, regulatory language was removed around ending the certificate at any point in the middle of a 12-month period for any reason.
