Purpose and Reason:
The Department of Children, Youth and Families proposed to repeal this regulation as it is within the RI Department of Health’s (DOH) authority to license/regulate clinicians of various professions to treat sexual abuse and trauma. In addition to licensure from the DOH, provider’s must comply with Medicaid’s provider manual. The Department will be issuing practice guidance for provider’s who treat DCYF involved youth for sexual abuse.
