Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of the amendments to MCAR #1305 is to insert provisions in section 1305.19 related to a Medicaid beneficiary terminating his/her eligibility. Additionally, these rules are promulgated in order to prevent wrongful denial, discontinuance, or interruption of benefits for Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries. Additional technical changes have been made to remove the proposed start date of "January 1, 2014" for services and procedures that are now ongoing.
