Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of this rulemaking action is to repeal the regulation “Rule Governing Form for Filing of Administrative Procedures Rules and Regulations by State Agencies and Failure to Properly File” identified by ERLID 4242. The contents of the regulation are covered in the Rules and Regulations Formatting and Filing Manual available for viewing and downloading on the Department of State’s website (http://sos.ri.gov/assets/downloads/documents/RICR-Filing-and-Styling%20Manual.pdf) and R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 42-35. The Department of State received no objection to this proposed repeal.
