RI’s primary policy-making body on workforce development matters, the Governor’s Workforce Board (GWB) invests in a range of programs and services that serve hundreds of companies and thousands of workers annually through Real Jobs RI, internships, and incumbent worker training. The GWB uses part of the assessment of employers’ taxable payroll to fund initiatives to help employers meet their demand for talent.
