Purpose and Reason:

The Authority’s Procurement Rules are being amended to: (1) ensure that they adhere generally to the principles, policies, and practices of the State Purchases Act, R. I. Gen. Laws §§ 37-2-1 et seq., and the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to the State Purchases Act; and (2) be readily understood by, and accessible to, all potential qualified vendors within the parameters of applicable law. There are no changes to the final rule from the proposed rule.
