Purpose and Reason:

This rulemaking represents a comprehensive review and updating of the Division's Rules and Regulations Prescribing Standards for Gas Utilities (ERLID 935) along with the updating and incorporation of provisions included in (and simultaneous repeal of) Regulations Regarding Gas Pipeline Safety Enforcement Procedures (ERLID 3673) Control of Drug Use in Natural Gas and Liquified Natural Gas (ERLID 938) and Rules and Regulations Prescribing Standards for Gas Line Abandonment and Leakage Survey Procedures (ERLID 911). The subsequent technical revision corrects a typographical error in Section E(3)(c)and an inadvertantly omitted modification in Section B (20).
