Purpose and Reason:

These rules were adopted to transfer administrative authority for the Rhode Island Telecommunications Fund from the Public Utilities Commission to the Division of Public Utilties and Carriers, as directed in the most recent amendment to R.I.G.L. 39-1-61. Upon adoption, these rules supercede Public Utilities Commission Rules ERLID# 2792.
