Purpose and Reason:
These regulations are intended to govern the termination of residential utility service provided by gas, electric and water utilities. The amended regulations reflect the addition of Part V, Section 4(G), as underlined on pages 37-38. The amended regulations are intended to be in effect from November 4, 2015 through December 4, 2015.
Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:
Imminent peril continues to exist to public health, safety and welfare because economic recovery continues making it difficult for Rhode Islanders to meet their financial obligations, and the weather forecast indicates a colder than usual winter.
