Purpose and Reason:

The regulations are intended to govern the termination and restoration of residential utility service provided by regulated gas, electric and gas utilities. The amended regulations reflect the addition of Part V, Section 4(G), underlined on pages 37-38. The amended regulations are intended to be in effect from October 31, 2014 - November 30, 2014.

Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:

Imminent peril continues to exist to public health, safety and welfare because Rhode Island’s economic conditions continues to lag making it more difficult for Rhode Islanders to meet their financial obligations
