Purpose and Reason:
The amendment to the Aeronautic Regulations is to require p0lice, fire fighter or crash rescue crewperson employed by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation to retire at age seventy (70), and to clarify that it is unlawful for pilots, crewpersons, and/or any person who attempts to or operates an aircraft to be under the influence of a controlled drug or intoxicating liquor alcohol and such persons shall on request of a law enforcement offices be deemed to consent to physical and chemical testing in accordance with Federal Aviation Policy. *********** In response to public comment, the text of the proposed regulation as published was changed to delete the section pertaining to mandatory retirement.
