Purpose and Reason:

The statutory definition of (1) "Persons with disabilities" or "person with a disability" was amended by RIPL 2013 Chapter 501 Section 101, to read "(1) "Persons with disabilities" or "person with a disability" shall mean any individual who has a physical or mental impairment which constitutes a substantial barrier to employment as certified by the department of human services or the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities, and hospitals."
