Purpose and Reason:
This rule is adopted by the Board of Elections for the purpose of clarifying and expanding upon R.I.G.L. 17-7-5, 17-15-34 and 17-15-35. The rule and regulation establishes procedures and guidelines for candidates who wish to protest the results of an election. There is no difference between the rule as proposed and the rule as adopted.
