Purpose and Reason:
This rule and regulation is being proposed for the purpose of clarifying and expanding upon R.I.G.L. 17-14-1 et seq. The rule and regulations clarify the procedures when a candidate submits multiple declarations of candidacy during an election cycle. There are no substantive differences between the proposed and final version of this rule.
