Purpose and Reason:
The Board of Elections proposes substantive changes to its Rules and Regulations for Voter Registration to allow for electronic voter registration consistent with recent amendments to R.I. Gen. Laws 17-9.1-10 and is also amended to add various terms and definitions to regulate the voter registration process. The proposed changes are underlined and highlighted in blue and further explained in the attached Summary of Changes and Rationale. No changes from proposed to adopted.
