Regulation Authority:

RIGL 17-25-11(g) and 17-25.2-5(d)

Purpose and Reason:

This rule is being amended by the Board of Elections for the purpose of clarifying and expanding upon R.I.G.L. § 17-25-11(g) and 17-25.2-5(d). The amendment removes "return receipt requested" when notifying the Filer of a late fine by certified mail to bring the rule into conformance with State Law. There are no substantive differences between the proposed and final amendment.
