Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this adoption is to establish rules and regulations governing the sale of fireworks and pyrotechnics in the State of Rhode Island. As a result of comments received, the follwing change was made that was not originally part of the proposed text: Section 5, p. 2, the permit fee was reduced to $100 from $200 due to an objection to the amount that was proposed. The Department agree to lower this amount of the fee that was proposed.
