Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this filing is to adopt regulatory amendments via emergency rule making to come into compliance with federal requirements for menhaden management within the State of Rhode Island.
Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:
The attached regulations are required to be adopted in order for the state to comply with federally imposed ASMFC requirements for the Menhaden fishery.
