Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this filing is to make a technical revision to the bay scallop regulations to remove one reference to the wording “bay scallops” in section 5.8.4, which was inadvertently inserted, and insert the wording “Except as provided” in section 5.8.5 to clarify and accurately reflect the intent of these sections which pertain to the use of dredges and the towing of dredges during closed seasons.
