Regulation Authority:
Title 20, Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, and 42-17.7, and in accordance with Chapter 42-35-18(b)(5), Administrative Procedures Act of the Rhode Island General Laws of 1956, as amended.
Purpose and Reason:
To decrease the commercial possession limit for Bluefish to 1,400 lbs/vessel/day beginning 12:01AM on July 26, 2015, until the next sub-period begins on January 1, 2016 (unlimited); to open the commercial menhaden fishery in the Menhaden Mgmt. Area at 120,000 lbs/vessel/day beginning 12:01 AM on July 27, 2015, until further notice; and to decrease the commercial possession limit for Summer flounder to 50 lbs/vessel/calendar day, and 350 lbs/vessel/week if permitted in the Aggregate Landing Program, beginning 12:01AM on July 26, 2015 until the next sub-period begins on September 16, 2015, at 200 lbs/vessel/day.
