Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this filing is to open the commercial menhaden fishery in the Narragansett Bay Menhaden Management Area at a possession limit of 120,000 pounds per vessel per calendar day, increase the possession limit for the general category commercial scup fishery to 40,000 pounds per vessel per calendar week, and increase the commercial possession limit for summer flounder to 600 pounds per vessel per calendar day or 3,000 pounds per vessel per calendar week if the vessel is permitted for the summer flounder aggregate program.
