Purpose and Reason:
These draft regulations were developed in response to legislation passed in the Spring of 2007 instituting a new fee for the disposal of septage. Monies collected are intended solely for a restricted account for the protection and restoration of Rhode Island waters, bays, rivers and watersheds. The funds will be managed by the Rhode Island Bays, Rivers and Watersheds Coordination Team.
