Purpose and Reason:

To preserve, protect, and/or restore the purity and integrity of all freshwater wetlands of the State of Rhode Island. Note: Previously amended to describe and clarify procedures for freshwater wetlands in the vicinity of the coast, to define and reduce fees for wildlife habitat and water quality improvement projects, to allow for emergency permits for other than government and utilities, and to clarify other rules.
