Title | 250 | Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management |
Chapter | 150 | Water Resources |
Subchapter | 15 | Wetlands |
Part | 1 | Rules and Regulations Governing the Administration and Enforcement of the Fresh Water Wetlands Act |
Type of Filing | Amendment |
Regulation Status | Inactive |
Effective | 07/16/2014 to 07/16/2014 |
Regulation Authority:
RIGL Chapters 2-1-20.1, 42-17.1, and 42-17.6, as amended.
Purpose and Reason:
Amendments to the OWTS and Wetland Rules are necessary in order to establish and implement a new Joint OWTS/Wetlands application and permit for single family residential lots. This will streamline application processing by incorporating efficiencies in staff resources, and create a more predictable and timely process for applicants, while providing additional opportunities for environmental protection of wetland resources. No changes were made to the proposed amendments as a result of the public hearing.
