Purpose and Reason:
DEM has done a major rewrite of the Rhode Island septic system regulations. The Rules address technical issues regarding siting and design of septic systems, as well as administrative and procedural issues. In addition, the Rules have been reformatted in an effort to follow the sequence of actions taken in permitting septic systems in RI.
