Purpose and Reason:
To expand the existing storm water rules to address storm water runoff from storm sewer systems in urban areas owned by local, state, and federal governments and from construction sites between one and five acres state-wide to be consistent with the federal Clean Water Act and the amendments to the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Rules promulgated December 8, 1999 as mandated by EPA.
