Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of the amended rules is to enhance language clarification and consistency throughout the rules, improve direction to applicants and consultants, and reduce and simplify the application and notification processes. Changes identified by RIDEM staff during the public notice process were made to reflect rule language simplification, clarification and consistency and are non-substantive in nature.
