Purpose and Reason:

The current regulation contains overly stringent evaluation criteria for disposal of dredged material. The new regulation changes the evaluation criteria to allow for greater ease of use of existing disposal options. As a result of these regulations, applicants will have increased options for the disposal of dredged material.
