Purpose and Reason:
To strengthen environmental protection, and to protect public health. The major amendment was the creation of Rule 8.03- Mandatory Deadline for Permanent Closure of Single-Walled UST Systems. Other minor changes were added, along with various technical corrections and clarifications throughout the document. The original date of filing for these regulations was December 10, 1993, effective December 30, 1993.
