Purpose and Reason:
To amend the subject rules in order to make them consistent with the recent amendment to Section 42-17.7-6 of the General Laws by which a decision of the administrative hearing officers after hearing becomes the final agency decision rather than merely a recommendation for consideration by the Director of the Department of Environmental Management. The proposed rule making would also update the rules to permit the electronic filing of pleadings as well as provide certain other textual modifications to the subject Rules.
